The iCongressman The Michael Bennit Series Book 2 eBook Mikael Carlson

Michael Bennit Takes the Struggle to Washington!
From political fiction author Mikael Carlson, the sequel to the award-winning first book in the Michael Bennit series of political dramas that will change how you view politics.
If you like House of Cards, you’ll enjoy reading how The Michael Bennit Series turns the American political process upside down when the little guy is pitted against the Washington elite set on destroying him to preserve their power in these political dramas.
"The Michael Bennit Series provides an excellent look at what most Americans are thinking today about the state of the government and offers a strong message to those ready and willing to heed it. This book is fantastic and explains why so many Americans feel as I do!" -- Melinda Hills for Readers' Favorite
Nobody gives a damn about politics, and we need to keep it that way.
Former teacher and soldier Michael Bennit is learning a lesson about modern politics when his idealism contrasts with reality. Despite being marginalized by his peers and subjected to numerous censures and reprimands, the now Congressman Bennit refuses to quit and leave his seat.
When fear over his legion of followers on social media forces the Washington elite to ratchet the pressure up ahead of the next election, the Speaker of the House launches an audacious plan to force Bennit out of office ahead of the fall campaign season. Needing to take drastic action before being cast out of politics, Michael enlists the help an old enemy, some new friends, and his former students to embark on an ambitious crusade to change the character of American politics and the balance of power in Washington.
"Engaging, informative, satirical, enlightening, and now, suspenseful. I am an arm-chair political geek, and what I enjoyed most with this Michael Bennit installment, is how I now look for "tells" when I watch and read anything about politics in mainstream and social media." -- Review
"Understand that this is fiction, which means that the author blames both sides equally for the mess that the fictional America finds itself in. That said, this is a good series where moderates triumph over big money, which is something most of us can get behind." -- Review
Social media is everywhere today! It is a powerful tool, but are we too trusting of it? The Michael Bennit series examines that question in a fun and entertaining way.

The iCongressman The Michael Bennit Series Book 2 eBook Mikael Carlson
Congress should put this on their list of required reading as the American public is mad as hell and fed up with democrats and republicans. This book although a novel certainly hits home and anyone that doesn't think so should be watching and reading more news coming out of Washington. And, yes I agree it is a stretch of the imagination to believe a 19 year old as a chief of staff and probably would have been better to have Bennit a college professor and these kids in college not high school. But, this is a work of fiction so overlook it and understand what this author is telling everyone!Product details

The iCongressman The Michael Bennit Series Book 2 eBook Mikael Carlson Reviews
Mikado Carlson is simply outstanding as an author. As a political science major and host of a local talk radio show, I find his understanding of politics and American history simply outstanding, and his ability to capture the reader's imagination seems to know no bounds.
I hope he never stops writing!
A break away from the two party Congress as a large number of Icandidates (non party aligned ) are elected. The House is in disarray as they do not plan to form a third party but stay as individuals. Will this work or will democracy crumble?
The last chapter obviously leads to book 3 in the series. Good reading
Mikael Carlson writes with the style of Allen Drury who started with ADVISE AND CONSENT in the 60's and continued on with many others. A thorough blow by blow of how the inner circles work in politics. I hope one of his "i" novels end up in a movie or TV series. I have now finished his last book iAmerican and look forward to any subsequent novels include the same vein
I've read all three of the Michael Bennit books. Understand that this is fiction, which means that the author blames both sides equally for the mess that the fictional America finds itself in. That said, this is a good series where moderates triumph over big money, which is something most of us can get behind.
After reading "iCandidate", I hoped, but didn't think the sequel could be better -- but it is! Engaging, informative, satirical, enlightening, and now, suspenseful. I am an arm-chair political geek, and what I enjoyed most with this Michael Bennit installment, is how I now look for "tells" when I watch and read anything about politics in mainstream and social media. Gotta go now...time to download book #3!
This second book looks more deeply into the inner workings of the political system while making the reader think on a higher level about just how little we understand political workings & machinations in Congress. Characters we loved in iCandidate are tested, grow and yet hold onto the ideals we expect from our real world Congress. Imagine if we actually could have them leap out of Mikael Carlson's amazing books and actually change our sadly dysfunctional real House. Brilliantly done again, sir. Highly Recommend to all!
After reading the iCandidate I noticed this sequel. I immediately downloaded it and read it in two days. Again, as in the first book, this captivated me so much because of the subjects--internet, education and politics. Often sequels are lacking in intensity and interest--but not this one. It went in directions that are uncomforting but probably true to life. I now see there is a third book in the series and I will download it as soon as it comes out. Unbelievable plot development, character description and human interest make this book an outstanding read.
